Small Gods
A tumultuous series of civil wars for the English throne known as The War of the Roses spanned decades from 1455 to 1487, pitting the houses of Lancaster and York against each other. The conclusion of this strife came with the ascent of the Tudor dynasty, initiated by Henry VII, a Lancastrian, marking the start of a period of renewed stability and prosperity. Across the UK, the Rose & Crown, a name proudly borne by hundreds of pubs, stands as a symbol of this historical unification and peace following a turbulent and bloody era.
